The much anticipated wedding of Clint and Lauren finally arrived! Naturally, we have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time – good friends in a beautiful city, what more can one ask for at a wedding?
On Saturday November 7, 2009 Clint and Lauren wed in a gorgeous little chapel in Savannah, Georgia – one of our most FAVORITE cites!
Pictured on the left, you can see the famous Gastonian Inn that Clint and Lauren stayed in after their wedding. Everywhere you look in downtown Savannah look likes this picture – absolutely beautiful and rich with history!
Before the wedding, we started with Lauren and Clint (separately) at Wormsloe Historic Park. This is a long road lined with large oak trees and Spanish moss – a truly breathtaking site for video and one of the locations where the movie Forest Gump was filmed.
The ceremony was at the Bethesda Home for Boys in the Whitfield Chapel and the reception was held at Savannah Yacht Club.
Michelle Reed Photography was there to capture every moment and her pictures from this trip are stunning – be sure to check out her blog! Obviously you can see that Clint and Lauren are perfectly natural in front of the cameras!
Kelly McWilliams, of Weddings By Socialites coordinated the day for our bride and groom and made sure that things ran perfectly. The reception band, Mr. Potato Head, rocked the crowd along with a few outrageous sets performed by Clint’s band, None Other.
The highlight of the evening for us was when Clint and Lauren sang the duet “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. Naturally, seeing a bride and groom sing to each other (and sound awesome) is a first for us – in other words, how often do you have a rock star marry a Disney superstar?
Overall, we all had a fantastic time in historic Savannah. We stayed in adorable place downtown called the Armstrong Inn which was on Chatham Square. Coincidentally, Robert Redford was filming the movie “The Conspirator” right outside our door in the square. How cool is that?
The Sunday following the wedding, Clint, Lauren, Michelle, and Rob spent some time touring other locations for fantastic post wedding pictures and video – spots including Forsyth Park, the river, a Theater, and many more!
In between the hustle and bustle of the wedding and additional photo/video shoots, AMC enjoyed great meals at The Olde Pink House, The Gryphon Tea Room (another favorite) and Lady And Sons; and even ventured out to Tybee Island. Rob, Anna, Kelly Mcwilliam’s Husband, and his children, all went for a climb in the Lighthouse (which we recently saw again in the preview for Miley Cyrus’s new movie).
What a fantastic fun filled weekend to say the least!
Congratulations and thanks to our friends Clint and Lauren – We wish you MANY years of happiness and thank you for including us in your special wedding weekend!

I’m ready to go back and do it again after reading this blog post! Where’s the video- what’s taking so long? It has been a couple weeks ya know. Ha Ha
You are so right Kelly – always looking for a chance to get back to Savannah! Looking forward to working on this video too – knowing how creative Clint and Lauren are, I wouldn’t be surprised to see something completely different in this video made just for them : )
Wow, your pictures are stunning! I love the colors and the brides dress is a knockout! Looks like a perfect day. Definitely gave me some ideas for my own wedding!
Thank you for the compliments – we can’t take credit for the pics since we were videotaping next to the photographer Michelle Reed from Naples Florida who was working with the bride and groom. We did our own snapshots from the video for the blog but they look pretty good nonetheless! Congratulations on your wedding plans… we love to travel ; ) and would love to hear more about your wedding!
