Are you ready for the storybook wedding of the year? How about about a visit from Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz? Well, get ready for the wedding of Cristina and Quincy at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, on Saturday March 27, 2010.
Rewind for a moment to her sister Jennifer’s wedding - that’s were we met Cristina for the first time. Now, fast forward to present day and we find her perfect wedding set on the beach with what seems to be thousands of roses, followed by a stunning reception in the upstairs ballroom of Naples Grande, capped off with a night club style dance party later on in another ball room!
To say the flowers and lighting design from this wedding was breathtaking is an understatement - I think we can see Cristina’s reaction as she enters the room for her first dance!
Later, her dad played a short clip from Wizard of Oz (one of her all time favorites) and presented her with red ruby slippers, just before her first dance. WOW, he sure sets the standard for the rest of us dads!
We couldn’t be happier to be with such a fun family, such a grand wedding, and such a fabulous couple who glowed through the entire night.
Congratulations Cristina and Quincy!
Danielle and Brian were married on Friday April 9, 2010 at Our lady Of Light Catholic Church in Estero.
Here you can see a sweet kiss from Danielle’s flower girl which just stopped our heart - she was soooo cute! Danielle also had bunches of orchids as her flower of choice - one of our most favorites since we are fans of growing them at home. The flowers were done by Muffy at Libby’s Flowers, aren’t they beautiful ! This cake was done by Kakes By Karen. It looks amazing!
As you can also see, Danielle’s dress was absolutely gorgeous with a vintage look that just catches your eye!
Following the ceremony, Danielle and Brian exited through bubbles to a vintage car that whisked them to a few photo locations with Michelle Reed Photography and finally to their reception at Bellasera in Naples. We even managed to get a moving clip of the car on the highway - we’ll have to see how it looks during editing though!
Set on the terrace outside, Patrick from Aace Entertainment entertained the guests through cocktail hour and the main reception and we even had a chance to run off to the beach with MRP to get a few last minute shots at sunset!
Congratulations Danielle and Brian - what a wonderful special day!
Our new kid on the block is Steven. I was so excited when we met Steven. I just knew he would be a great addition to our team, and he has all ready exceeded our expectations. He is our talented artist fresh from Full Sail University. Steven brings so much to AMC Video from expertise with the camera to web design and he is full of new ideas to help AMC stay on top. Steven is extremely detail oriented, creative and and all around an amazing person. We are thrilled to have Steven working with us. Here is Steven’s bio:
Born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Steven has always been inspired by art. As a child he loved painting and creating something original. His love for all aspects of art led him to Full Sail University where he received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Film. Instead of creating a masterpiece on canvas he now creates moving art for AMC.
After college Steven decided to move to LA, where he gained experience as a camera operator working on Independent Films, music videos, and commercials. Being an artist on the side makes Steven a very powerful asset to our team here at AMC video. Having a creative eye is essential to creating the best picture possible for any project.
“Working for AMC video has allowed me to continue to use my skills and techniques as a videographer and pursue my passion in the field of moving art.”
Stay tuned for more AMC artist spotlights !
Dawn and Dave had a perfect Destination Wedding! Lee and Rob headed out to Captiva Island for their wedding on Thursday March 25, 2010. We were joined by Michelle Reed Photography. Dr. Dan Lamey performed a beautiful ceremony beach side. Here are a few quick pictures of their wonderful day. I love the colors Dawn choose for her intimate ceremony of about 50 people. Especially check out the cake! Congratulations Dawn and Dave. You did such a great job planning your wedding all the way from Kentucky! We wish you many years of happiness !

Lindsay and Christopher were married on Saturday March 27th, 2010 at the Colony Golf and Country Club in Bonita Springs. We were joined by Michelle Reed Photography and Ron Rutz was the DJ for the evening. The Colony has always been one of my favorite places to have a wedding. It is an elegant country club and the staff is always so friendly. If you are looking for a great place for a wedding, check it out. Below are a few shots that Steven captured while shooting this event. I love the cake! Congratulations to our bride and groom!

Recently we had the pleasure of working with the Henderson family to film the wedding of their daughter Laura to Jay at First United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, on Saturday March 20, 2010.
What a beautiful day it was - the church filled with friends and family and after the official “I do’s”, guests crossed the street to enjoy the tented reception at the Burrough’s Home on the river.
Glowing at night against the perfect sunset, the open air reception was a charming backdrop for the beautiful couple.
Michelle Reed Photography sent us a few photos of the evening pictured here.
Congratulations Jay and Laura. We wish you many years of happiness and want to thank the Henderson family especially for including us at this wonderful wedding event!
Meet Jaron! He has been with us the longest, and we are thrilled to have him. Jaron has been with AMC for the past eight years. Before joining the AMC team, however, he worked as an editor and camera operator in a television studio. As one of our veteran videographers, Jaron’s been behind the camera in many diverse situations, which has paved the way for him to sharpen his expertise. As a result, Jaron is very skilled at adapting to and navigating a myriad of environments. His versatility, execution, and stability ensure that each wedding he films is exclusive and inspiring to watch.
“When filming, I really like making them feel as comfortable as possible. The big day can be stressful for both the bride and the groom, so it’s important to keep everybody at ease and enjoying the sentimentality of the day.”
As an avid football fan and one of AMC’s seasoned videographers with an instinctive nature and masterful understanding of cinematography, some of Jaron’s favorite weddings to film have been for Josh Reed of the Buffalo Bills and also for Todd Johnson of the Saint Louis Rams.

It’s time for another team member profile. This week meet Lee, one of our lead videographers. Lee is our “steady eddy”. He’s calm, cool and collected. I have spent many years working side by side with Lee, and I don’t think I have ever seen him get flustered once. He knows exactly what to say and what to do. He is so easy going, and our brides and grooms feel right at home with him. He is multi-talented man and a great asset to our team here at AMC Video. Just take a look at Lee’s profile and you will quickly see what I mean:
Lee is Currently pursuing his doctorate degree from Boston University, where he completed his Master’s Degree. His keen artistic eye and talent for capturing the moment make him a natural and compelling cinematographer.. In addition, Lee’s expertise extends beyond the camera: he’s also an Adobe certified expert and web master.
“Understanding the editing process and what goes on after the shooting is done is critically important. That knowledge of film composition enables me to be a better cinematographer, because I know which shots will look good and will really work in the final film.”
With Lee’s attentiveness to detail, personable personality, and belief in creating unique, beautiful and high quality film, it’s no surprise that his videos have been continuously praised by our clients. Furthermore, Lee’s knowledge and creative skill have helped AMC become one of the most sought after wedding and special event film companies in Southwest Florida

Employee Spotlight! Up first is Matias! Everyone loves Matias! We are very happy to have Matias be part of our team. He is extremely talented and I have to say is the most positive person I have ever met. Sometimes we call him Mr. Lucky. Things just go his way. You just can’t help smile when you are around him. We are the lucky ones to have been working with Matias for the past 5 years! If you are lucky, Matias will be filming your wedding!
Here is Matias’s impressive bio:
Having worked in post production and audio design for such prestigious companies as HBO, Cinemax, Warner, and Disney, Matias has been bringing his artistic talents to AMC for the past five years. A distinguished videographer, his instinctive nature and natural ability allow him to effortlessly capture the unique essence of each wedding.
Matias is also AMC’s Jib master and looks forward to our cinematic weddings where he can employ some more creative techniques and equipment like the Jib to make wedding videos as cinematic as possible!
Matias, who is fluent in both English and Spanish, earned his bachelor’s degree in Film from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. “I’ve always been drawn to the inherent emotions of weddings, and grasping that on film and composing it in such a way to create a unique, personalized work of art is extraordinary. You’ve only got one chance to capture the beauty, timelessness, and love in each wedding, so it’s critical to have someone experienced behind the camera.”
While Matias finds inspiration in filming and post production, he’s currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration and plans to combine that knowledge in his future endeavors at AMC.
